Acceptance

The Greek economic crisis was always one hidden behind an identity crisis, which has only really come to be realised within the past month, as people begin to accept that there is no going back now. Not even first homes are sacrosanct - in the Greece of 2013, you could easily find yourself on the street without warning.

Green grapes, green beans and green energy - as good as it gets these days for most of us.
Our new BBQ is based on a typical Greek rural model - a recycled washing machine drum.
As summer wanes, the reality sets in. A clap of thunder has just sounded in the distance - better get my washing in...

  1. I love your BBQ. It's such a great idea to re-use old washing machine drums!!!

This month it dawned on me how much money I have been loosing per month since this crisis started: around 200€. It's a lot. Just on my wage. But if we take into account that all the prices for everything went up, in reality I end up with a lot less money every month. It's pretty hard and we're hanging on tight and so far we manage to keep going because luckily we both have job. And nowadays that's really something to be gratefull for :)
