Winter life (Ο χειμωνιάτικος κήπος)
Bearing in mind that it is the middle of January in the Mediterranean island of Crete, our garden looks like this at the moment. Look out for a reddening tomato, white cauliflower heads, a green cabbage, some celery bushes, a pepper tree, a few eggplant trees, a broccolli bush and some baby Cos lettuce. My husband and his mother (83 years old) planted the garden in the niddle of autumn, and now my mother-in-law tends it. We are truly fortunate!

I am so envious I can barely stand it! What a gorgeous garden (plus the horta in your olive grove), you are rich indeed with the bounty of your land. Just looking at the pictures, my mind started racing with recipe ideas...
ReplyDeleteyes, i feel quite rich when i see our garden growing like this. one day, i hope to grow more vegetables in it.
